We have become very much more aware of PTSD in recent years with social media and television bringing much needed attention to the condition, however I feel it is fair to say that a lot of people still think it is a military issue and that all Veterans suffer with PTSD.
This is untrue, not all War Veterans will suffer from PTSD and PTSD is NOT a military issue, anyone can suffer from it regardless of their experiences or profession.
PTSD is a very complex issue and regardless of where or how you may have got the condition Counselling help's those living with it and also helps those around it by obtaining an understanding of what the person living with it is going through and how best they can help those suffering.
